Macaroni Feta Cheese Recipe

This is a tasty, simple to prepare dish combining sudanese and western cooking styles, a must try!

Ingredients:

  • 500g macaroni
  • 1kg mince meat
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin
  • 1 tablespoon of Cajun spices
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 2 big onions
  • 2 cups of brown lentils
  • 1 cup of olive oil

Method:

1.  Boil pasta for 10 minutes and drain it.

2.  Dice onion and place in a pot.

3.  Add a cup of olive oil and let onion soften until tender.

4.  Crush the garlic and add to the pot.

5.  Then add mince meat, a cup of brown lentils and a can of diced tomatoes to the pot.

6.  Stir until mince meat is cooked.

7.  In a large bowl mix the pasta and the mince meat mixture together.

8.  Cover a tray with glad wrap and place the contents of the large bowl into it.

9.  Place in the oven for 20-30 minutes at 160°C.

10.  Place desired amount onto a plate and add some beautiful feta cheese.
